Dorothy Ann Abbott, age 69 of Brooklyn,Ohio, died on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare, Westlake, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 4, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, moving to Lorain County 18 years ago.
Dorothy was employed as a rental agent for Consolidated Management, Lorain.
She was a member of the former New Life Community Church, North Ridgeville, and enjoyed needle point, crafts and reading.
She is survived by her sons: John Allen, of Lorain, Phillip Lapinskas and Kenneth Lapinskas, both of Cleveland, daughters: Beth Lapinskas of Cleveland and April Gettel, of Austin, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter, and sister: Esther Brettin, of Willis, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Susan Hannah in 2008, brothers: Richard Abbott and Harold Otto Abbott, Jr, and sister: Sally Mance.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Family Fellowship Foursquare Church, 780 Cooper Foster Park Rd, Amherst. Rev. Dr. Bill Mouer, pastor will officiate.
