Dorothy Karasevic

Aunt Dorothy, age 92, is what everyone knew her as, whether related to her or not. She and her beloved husband, Joe, of 59 years, never had any children of their own. All of their nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews were her children. Aunt Dorothy baked every day, sharing her goodies with family and friends. She loved patronizing the internet cafes, feeling that they were one of the few safe places for older folks to go. Her working life began as a young girl, working in the farm-life and cleaning homes. Eventually, she became a buyer for the one-time popular clothing store, Smith and Gerharts. In years following, she worked as a sewer at Entron, later working for Invacare, where she eventually retired from in 1975. You never left Aunt Dorothy's home hungry, either a full meal or at least a muffin were always available. She and her "famous" bran muffins will be missed.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am, at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Dr. David Howell, Pastor of First Congregational Church UCC of North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
