Dorothy Annastatia Prosak, (nee Suchocki) age 76, of Lorain, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon, while under the care of the Porter family following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 5, 1928 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1947.
Dorothy worked at Zig's Food Market in Lorain for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lorain, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, art, gardening and crocheting.
Surviving are her sons, Victor of Avon Lake, David of Columbus, and Alex of Seal Beach, CA, 5 grandchildren, sisters, Sadie Pawlak of Lorain, and Melazyn Drozdowski of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Aloysius "Al" Prosak in 2002, her parents, Victor Suchocki in 1958, and Sophie (nee Bojda) Suchocki in 1967, and a brother Alex, in 1963.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, E. 28th Street and Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. David Novak, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
