Dorothy C. Ryan, age 77, of Grafton, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain.
She was born on May 2, 1927 in Lorain. She grew up in Lorain and after she married, lived throughout Lorain County in Vermilion and Avon Lake. In 1971 she moved to Grafton and has resided there since.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Grafton.
Mrs. Ryan enjoyed reading and sewing.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward L.; 2 daughters, Loretta Schaefer, of Jeromesville, OH, and Dorothy Carol Denesi, of Payette, Idaho;2 grandchildren; and her sister, Cecelia Tillie Bernas.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 24, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends may also join the family at the funeral mass on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton. Rev. Fr. John Seabold, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton.
