Dorothy L. Stidham, 88, of Lorain, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at University Hospital of Cleveland following a sudden illness.
She was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Lorain and lived here her entire life
She was a 1934 graduate of Lorain High School
Dorothy worked in the accounting department of Lorain Works US Steel as an accounting clerk for 38 years, retiring in 1981.
She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, reading, cooking, and visiting with company and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her brothers, Jack of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jim of Portland, Oregon; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Stidham and Dora (nee Smith) Stidham; brothers, Robert and Joseph; and a sister, Elizabeth.
Private services for the family were held at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
