Dorothy D. Strnad (nee Radovich) age 79 of Lorain, died on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, Lorain, following an extended illness.
She was born on November 14, 1927 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident.
Dorothy was employed by Cook United, retiring in 1985. She had previously been employed by Mascon Toy Company in Lorain for 9 years as an assembler.
She was a member of St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies Guild.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with cooking and baking.
She is survived by her daughters: Mrs. Leo (Sally) Sherban, and Josie Strnad both of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Strnad, in 1974, and her brother, Donald Radovich in 1997.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where a parastas service will be held at 7:30 pm. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of services at noon, at St, Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Road, Sheffield Village. The Rev. Milorad Orlich and the Very Rev. Mioljub Matic, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
