Edith B. Mort (nee Eichelberger), age 86, of Lorain, died on Saturday, July 07, 2007 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 8, 1921 in Langdondale, PA. Edith moved to Lorain in 1957 where she has lived since.
Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and cleaning.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Villa; her sons, Ronald Eichelberger of Palm Harbor, FL, and James Mort, Jr. of Westminster, MD, Joseph D. Villa of Coulman, AL; a daughters, Judith Rock of Charlotte, NC, Darlene Miller and Linda Rayl both of Vermilion, Candice Villa of Amherst; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Eichelberger of Lorain, William Eichelberger of Vermilion, and Robert Eichelberger of Columbus; sister, Vera Kurucz of South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, James H. Mort; and parents, Stewart and Emma (nee Brenna) Eichelberger; a sister Louise Williams.
Private services were held. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, handled the arrangements.
