Edwin E. Lopez

Edwin E, Lopez, age 58, of Lorain, passed away at his home following a sudden illness on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Born Feb. 17, 1963 in Lorain to the late Felix and Aida (nee Rodriguez) Lopez, he lived in Lorain his entire life.  Edwin attended Lorain High School.

Edwin had a passion for fixing things and was a “Jack” of all trades having worked roofing, landscaping and construction jobs.  Edwin loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his companion of 15 years, Debbie Stauder; children, Christina Lopez, Chad Johnson, Andrea Lopez, Edwin F. Lopez and Joseph Lopez; many grandchildren; brothers, Victor and Jose; sisters, Vidalia Marquez, Virginia Lopez, Guadalupe Lopez and Hady Lopez.

Besides his parents, Edwin was also preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Kajic; and brother, Felix Jr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13 from 10 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at 11 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Deacon Louis Maldonado of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
