Elizabeth McIntosh, age 77, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Community Health Partners Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born on February 24, 1932 in Carbonglow, Kentucky, moving to Lorain in 1954.
Elizabeth was employed in various greenhouses as a seasonal worker from 1963-1972. She enjoyed playing BINGO and gardening.
She is survived by her sons, John and James McIntosh, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan, daughters, Bobbie Coleman and Della Brown, step-daughter, Honey Lou Pack, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and sister, Thelma "Ruby" Warley, of Niceville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1992, parents, Brown and Martha Duff, brother, Mike Duff in 2000, sisters, Virginia Whitley in 1976 and Gertrude Cornett in 1948, and step-daughter, Mary Akers, in 2004.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 1, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 am. The Rev. Charles Keesee, Pastor of Midway Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
