Elizabeth "Betty" Pashkewich, (nee Emerick), age 87, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, April 07, 2010 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 12, 1923 in Avella, PA, living most of her life in Lorain. She was a 1943 graduate of Lorain High School.
Betty was a member of Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain. She enjoyed reading, movies, knitting and crocheting.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Candy (Jack) Gaudry, of Lorain; a granddaughter, Molly of Philadelphia; and a brother, Alex Emerick, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad in 2000; a son, Daniel in 2003; a brother, Joseph Emerick, on April 4, 2010; and her parents, John and Mary (nee Szuch) Emerick.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am at Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 2238 E. 32nd St., Lorain. Very Rev. Archpriest Basil Stoyka, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
