Elizabeth A. "Betty" Williams, (nee Hribar), age 81, of Lorain, died on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
She was born on July 22, 1930 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident.
She was employed as a housekeeper at Community Health Partners for 22 years, retiring in 2005.
She was a life long member of the former St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, where she helped and volunteered at the church until it closed.
Betty enjoyed going to the movies, sewing and dancing.
She is survived by her daughters: Deborah M. Garza, Denise A. Williams, both of Lorain, grandchildren: Donna Heuler, Sally Garza, Michael Garza, James Garza, and Zachary Williams, 3 great grandchildren: Daniel, Emily, and Joseph, brother: Joseph Hribar, of Sheffield Village, and sister: Ann Petroskey, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Anna (nee Horvath) Hribar, son: Steven, brother: Peter, Jr., sister: Rose Marie Furman and grandson: Nicholas Williams.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain, Ohio 44055. Rev. Fr. John C. Retar, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
