Ellen Cook (nee Cica), age 65, of North Royalton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at her home, while under the care of Crossroads Hospice.
She was born on June 29, 1951 in Lorain. She had also lived in Cleveland and Lakewood, before moving to North Royalton in 2003. Ellen was a 1969 graduate of Admiral King High School. She then went to Lorain County Community College, where she obtained her Associates Degree.
Ellen worked as an office manager at EnviroServe, in Independence, for 9 years, before retiring in 2000. Prior to working there, she worked for environmental clean-up companies.
She enjoyed reading, yard work, and camping. Ellen enjoyed her motorcycle trips with her husband. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a faithful and caring friend to many.
Ellen will be sadly missed by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Cook, her daughter, Stephanie Stanziano, sister-in-law, Sharon Cica, nieces; Andrea Currence, Patty Sauvey, Jan Mitchell, Shano Cica, and nephew, Tom Bangas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Milovan and Mary (nee Vorkovich) Cica, her brother, Daniel Cica, her sister, Jean Bangas, and a niece, Kelly Brady.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, at 10:00 am. The Rev. Paul Monkowski, of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, will of officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
