Elsie Vangeloff (nee Wagner), age 86, of Lorain, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 21, 1923, in Lorain, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Lorain High.
Along with her late husband, Paul, she owned and operated Vangeloff's Restaurant, for over 43 years. Elsie enjoyed cooking and baking and was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians. She also loved her pets and had a lot of compassion for animals.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Carol), of Dublin, OH, her daughter, Patricia (Eugene) Adler, of Peoria, AZ, her 4 grandchildren; Bonnie Vangeloff, Timothy Vangeloff, Kimberly Stanley, and Emily Adler, and her sister-in-laws; Dorothy Tudich and Lillian Richter.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul V., her parents; Fred and Christina (nee Benke) Wagner, and her brother, Richard Richter.
The family will receive friends for graveside services on Tuesday, Oct. 19th, at 10:00 am, at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
