Emma I. Lopatkovich, (nee Krupit), 84, of Lorain, died Friday, December 16, 2005 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Avon, following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 18, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA; she came to Lorain in 1946 and has lived here since.
She worked as a seamstress for Dunlap's Bridal for 10 years. Prior to that, she was the co-owner with her husband for Home Dairy as an office manager and was employed at the Lorain Public Library for 10 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, David of Medina, and Carl of Lorain, daughters, Judith Pollarine of North Ridgeville, Leda Gerdes of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and Berta McCoy of St. Petersburgh, Florida, 8 grandchildren, a sister, Vera Sebald of Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1975, a sons, Michael in 1983, son Paul in 1952, her parents, Ewald Krupit and Anna (nee Mentz) Krupit, and a sister, Leda Krupit in 2003 and brother, Adolf in 2000.
Funeral services for the family were privately held Monday. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, handled the arrangements.
