Eufemia Ocasio, (nee Roldan), age 75, of Lorain, died on Friday, May 13, 2005 at Ohio Extended Care Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 29, 1929 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she has lived in Lorain since 1950.
Eufemia was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, where she was a member of the Cursillo Movement and the Sociedad De Damas, also was also a member of the Renovacion Carismatica.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her son: Major Michael Ocasio, retired major from the US Air Force, of Arkansas, daughters: Ana Velez, Adela Torres and Carmen Ocasio-Naddaf, all of Lorain, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers: Guillermo Roldan of Chicago, IL and Maximino, of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years: Wenceslao G. Ocasio in 1986, parents: Eufemio and Teresa (nee Fonseca) Roldan, son: Frederico in infancy, brother: Aniceto Roldan and sisters: Emilia, Joaquina and Julia.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 from 5-8 p.m in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. mass at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
