Evelyn M. DiLuciano

Evelyn M. DiLuciano (nee Kobasic) age 90, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice, following a short illness.
She was born December 17, 1923 in Lorain, where she has been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Lorain High School.
Evelyn was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish. She enjoyed reading, sewing, baking and making candy.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eusebio; her daughter, Cindy Davis of Lorain; her grandson, Paul (Madelyn) Davis; a sister, Elaine (Arnold) Niehenke of Olmsted Falls; brother in laws, Alfred (Louisa) DiLuciano, Tony (Jeanne) DiLuciano, Frank DiLuciano, John DiLuciano, James DiLuciano; sister in laws, Rose DeAngelis, Anne (Jack) Tocchi, Virginia (Gene) Bulso, Simie DiLuciano and sister in law, Katherine Kobasic. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews including her very dear nieces who she loved as daughters, Anita Simko and Pam Hunyad.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Anna (nee Lukenic) Kobasic; brothers, Edward, Anthony, Martin, John, Richard, Robert, and Edward; sisters, Margaret Kobasic, Mary Ann Simko, Dorothy Kobasic, and Stella Kobasic; brother in laws, Frank DeAngelis and Dominic "Red" DiLuciano.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 19th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Rev. John C. Retar, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
