Evelyn Plaza Magee, 50, born in Lorain, Ohio on February 5th, 1958, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Maryland while visiting with her kids and grandchildren.
She resided in Leland, MS. with her long time devoted husband Kenneth D. Magee. Evelyn has traveled from California to Philadelphia, Maryland, Mississippi, Texas and so many more places. She worked hard all her life to provide for her children, but suffered for a long time with a debilitating illness. During her 50 years of life she left an impression on all of the hearts who knew her. As a mom, a friend, a wife, a sister, an aunt, or whatever she was to you. You'll always remember her to be funny, full of life, a no-nonsense, straight-to-the point, STRONG woman. There is no one like her... ..the original "Queen Bee".
She left behind her very devoted husband of 20 years (who was there day in, day out for her; no matter what, he was always right there for her), Kenneth D. Magee; Her son Moises Rivera Jr., his wife Stacy, and grand kids; Khalil of West Virginia and Tatyana, and Ivan of Maryland; Her daughter Noemi Rivera of Maryland; Her daughter Lynnette Rivera-Parker and her husband Tavares, and grand kids; Nicolette and Layla of Maryland; Her daughter Yvette M. Garcia-Echols and her husband John and grand kids; Jadin and Heaven of Texas. Her Mother; Evangelista Plaza of Lorain; Her brothers; Jaun "Santos" Plaza Jr. of California, Saul Plaza of Lorain, Johnny Plaza of Chicago, Josue Plaza of Toledo, Oh., Louis Deleon of Chicago, Freddie Deleon, Jose Deleon of Kentucky; Her sisters; Carmen Muniz of Lorain and Awilda Plaza of California; Her Mother-in-law; Katye "Mama" Lindsey; Her father-in-law; Robert Lindsey; Her Sister-in-law; Karen Magee and all of her extended loving Mississippi family. She also left behind her dear friends of Leland, MS.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2008, from 5 - 9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
