Evelyn Szekeres, (nee Beko), age 79 of Lorain, died on Monday, December 19, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, West, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
She was born on February 9, 1926 in Lorain, where she has been a lifelong resident.
She was employed at Streamway Products, Westlake for 10 years as a kitchen faucet manufacturer, retiring in 1974.
Evelyn was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church where she was involved in the St. Ann's Auxiliary at the church.
She enjoyed crafts and bingo.
She is survived by her sons: Frank J. Szekeres, of Elyria and James Szekeres, of Lorain, 2 grandchildren and brother: Steve Beko, Jr, of Tucson, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Frank J. Szekeres, Sr. in 2000, parents: Steve and Mary (nee Fedor) Beko, brothers: Ron and Ken Beko and sister: Connie Moore.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 from 3-7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Ladislaus Catholic church, Rev. Fr. James Schmitz, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
