Everett C. "Woody" Foreman

Everett C. "Woody" Foreman, age 69, of Sheffield Lake, died on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic, following complications from surgery.
Born September 1, 1939 in Mason, West Virginia, he moved to this area 45 years ago.
After 32 years at BF Goodrich, Woody retired in 1998 from the latex department where he worked as a supervisor.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Sheffield Lake, where he currently was serving as treasurer and was a member of the choir. In 1989, he became an ordained deacon at the church, faithfully serving for many years.
Woody enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (nee Grimm), sons, Brian of Deerfield, OH, Brent of Brimfield, OH; a daughter, Brenda Neal, of Vine Grove, KY; 7 grandchildren; mother, Eileen J. (nee Roush) Foreman, of New Haven, WV; brother, Dennis of Barboursville, WV; and sisters, Myra Halfhill New Haven, WV, and Sharon Taylor, Letart, WV..
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow L. Foreman, in 1992; and sister, Phyllis Scott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 633 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake. Rev. Dan D uffy, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 633 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, Ohio, 44054.
