Fausta "Fay" Cancel Natal (nee: Delgado), age 73, of Lorain, died on Monday, September 11, 2006, at Community Health Partners Hospital Surgical Center - West, Lorain.

She was born on January 26, 1933 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and had moved to Lorain from there, in 1952.

She was employed as a housekeeper at Bradley Bay Nursing Home, Westlake, for 5 years before retiring in 2005. Previous to being employed there, she was a cook for Red Ball Catering.

Fausta was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.

She was an avid bingo player, and an avid sports fan, especially for the Cleveland Indians. She had also enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her 3 sons; Lorenzo Cancel, Jr, Pedro L. Natal, and Jason Cancel, all of Lorain, her daughter, Chris Cancel, of Sarasota, FL, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 2 brothers; Pedro Aponte, of Lorain, and Pedro "Tito" Flores, of New York, NY, and her 4 sisters; Gloria Aponte, of North Olmsted, Carmen Belen, of Brunswick, Carmen Seda, of Amherst, and Rosemary Mosney, of Ossining, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Luis and Regalada (nee: Delgado) Aponte, and 2 brothers; William Flores and Manolo Flores.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, from 7-9 p.m., at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. A funeral mass will be held on Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden will officiate.
