Felix Rodriguez-Marin, age 87, of Lorain, died on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at the Specialty Hospital of Lorain, Lorain, after a brief illness.
He was born on March 19, 1919, in Maunabo, Puerto Rico where he lived most of his life. He had moved to Lorain 4 years ago.
Felix was in the US Army and fought in both WW II, and the Korean Conflict. In Lorain, he was a member of the Iglesia de Dios, Lorain. He enjoyed reading the Bible.
He is survived by his 2 sons; Felix Rafael Rodriguez, of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and Edwin Ortiz, of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, his 3 daughters; Myrna E. Rodriguez-Santiago, of Florida, Maritza R. Rodriguez-Santiago, and Margarita Vazquez, of Lorain, his 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and his 3 sisters; Carmen Mercado, of New York, Genoveva Rodriguez and Ernestina Rodriguez, both of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Deadina (nee: Santiago-Garcia), a granddaughter, Tanya Ortiz, and his 3 brothers; Carlos, Rodrigo, and Justo Rodriguez-Marin.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at the Iglesia de Dios, Inc, 3115 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30p.m. Burial will take place in Puerto Rico.
