Frances A. Kobylka (nee Rosso), age 92, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
She was born on May 1, 1917 in Lorain, where she was a resident for her entire life. She was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain. Frances always loved being with her family, and in her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Jonelle M. (Kenneth E.) Potts, of Lorain, her son, Gerald (Faith) Kobylka, of Napa, CA, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a brother, Joseph Rosso, of Ashland, and a sister, Jennie Veinfortner, of Olmsted Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John, in 1980, her brothers; Sam, Louis, James, and John, and her sisters; Lena Kosten, Ethel Rushton, and Rose Zehnder.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, from 5 - 8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held Saturday, at 10:00 am. The Rev. Fr. Thomas Smith, Pastor of St. John Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
