Frances Less, (nee Polny) age 92, of Lorain, died on Friday, February 10, 2006 at Amherst Manor Retirement Community, following a short illness.
She was born March 8, 1913 in Lorain, and has lived here her entire life.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and the parish Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Union of Poles in America, and the Stefan Czarnecki Lodge 1430.
Frances enjoyed knitting, cooking, flowers, and gardening, and she was an avid reader.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Frank L. "Boots" Less, in 1976; her sister, Theresa Kathleen Glowacki in 1999; brothers, Stanley T. Polny in 1971 and Benjamin J. Polny in 1986.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, E. 28th St. and Elyria Ave, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Kevin Shemuga, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
