Frances L. Ridenour (nee Humphrey), age 81,of Lorain, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born on November 17, 1922 in Sheffield Lake. She lived in Wheeling, West Virginia before coming to Lorain in the 1940s. .
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and looking after others.
Surviving are 2 sons; James of Alexandria, Virginia and Dennis, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert Humphrey, of Elyria, and 2 sisters; Ruth Villanova, of Wheeling, West Virginia and Shirley Hess, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Edward, in 1981, her parents George and Shirley (nee Rice) Humphrey, a brother, George, and a sister, Lona Polankay.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 from 6-8 P.M. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Jay Roller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Avon.
