Francisco Lopez, Jr

Francisco Lopez, Jr., age 59, of Lorain, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1951, in Manhattan, NY, moving to Lorain in 1972. He enjoyed music, especially jazz and loved the outdoors. When living in New York, he played the organ for the local church. Being a perfectionist, he always valued his independence and being self-reliant.
Francisco is survived by his sons; Frank, of Cincinnati and Michael J., Sr., of Tampa, FL, 4 grandchildren; Michael J. Lopez Jr., Allessandro R. Lopez, Antonio M. Lopez, and Davi J. Lopez, his mother, Victoria (nee Rijos), of Lorain, father, Francisco Lopez, Sr., of Puerto Rico, brothers; Abraham Lopez, of Lorain, Alexander Lopez, of Lorain, Angel Lopez, of Orlando, Fl, and Peter Morales, of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Lopez, in 1993.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Iglesia del Dios Vivo, 1714 Reid Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Friday, at 10:30 am. The Rev. Noemi Colon, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
