Francisco R. Rios

Francisco R. Rios, 70, of Lorain, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, following a short illness.
Born February 18, 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico, he lived in New Jersey before coming to Lorain in 1972.
Francisco worked in New Jersey as a bus driver for Greyhound and also drove ambulances and taxis. After moving to Lorain, he worked for Firestone and then drove taxis.
He enjoyed music, playing guitar, fishing and handyman work.
Surviving is his daughter, Mirinit (Carlos) Velez of Elyria; a son, Dennis Rios of Lorain; 6 grandchildren and a great granddaughter; sisters, Luisa Rosario of Lorain and Hortencia Rios of Mr. Vernon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Rios and Maria (nee Rodriguez) Ramos; his step father, Luis "Lo Lo" Ramos-Soto; a son, Francisco Rios Jr.; and a daughter, Judy Luisa Rios.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of services art 1:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Melvin M. Sayler, Chaplain of Stein Hospice, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
