Frank J. Dellipoala, age 86, of Lorain, died on April 27, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain.
He was born April 5, 1930 in Lorain, where he has been a life long resident. Frank was a member of Church of St. Peters, and then became a Born Again Christian. In 1949 he enlisted in the US Navy, and was assigned to the USS Lowry destroyer sent to serve off of the coast of North Korea. He served as an explosive specialist.
Frank retired from USG of Westlake as a production operator.
Frank knew the joy of giving and many knew it.
He is survived by his two sons, Frank and Joseph of Akron, and sister Josephine Schmidt of Lorain.
A private service was held at Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain on April 29, 2016. He was laid to rest next to his wife Mary (nee Boeriu) at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
In lieu of contributions, the family suggests in his memory that we would all pay respects to anyone we meet.
