Frank Kuhn Jr., 68 of Avon Lake, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. John Westshore Hospital following a short illness.
Born Dec. 10, 1940 in Cleveland, he moved to Avon Lake in 1968 where he has lived since.
Frank worked as a machinist for the City of Cleveland for 27 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 8686. He enjoyed rehabbing homes with his children, playing slot machines, and camping with his family and friends.
He is survived his wife of 46 years, Linda (nee Knuckles); sons, Frank T., Christopher and George (Pam) all of Sheffield Lake; a daughter, Sherri Lynn Kuhn of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Christopher II, Ryan and Jenna; sisters, Ruth Kuhar of Willoughby, Shirley (Jim) Burgett of Willowick, Marie (Allen) Sluga and Bernice (Boyd) Kelly both of Mentor; brother-in-law, Thomas (Merry) Knuckles, of Windsor, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Frieda (nee Berg) Kuhn; sisters, Pat Adams and Eleanor (George) Pilar, father and mother-in-law, George and Helen Stillman; and brother-in-law, Gerald (Jean) Knuckles;
Services for the family will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
