Gabriel Garcia-Gonzalez

Gabriel Garcia-Gonzalez, age 44, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Mercy Health Lorain Hospital following a short illness.

Born September 14, 1977, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he graduated in 1995 from Escuela Superior Alfredo Aguayo and then received his college degree in nursing. Over the years, he traveled back and forth to Lorain, settling here 5 years ago.
While living in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Gabriel worked as a nurse in a hospital. His passion was serving God and he loved all animals especially his roosters which he breed. He enjoyed the outdoors also was very successful in growing plants, vegetables and fruit trees.
He is survived by wife of 29 years, Maria Colon; sons, Angel Gabriel and Christian; his parents, Amador Garcia-Burgos and Milagros Gonzalez-Rosario. He was the youngest of 7 siblings, Luis A. Garcia, Silvia M. Garcia, Melvin Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, and Daniel Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Amador on December 16, 2021.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
