Gail S. Mitro, age 53, of Elyria passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 at University Hospital, Geauga Medical Center.
Born August 23, 1967 to Nicholas and Gertrude (nee Gailey) Mitro in Lorain, Gail spent all of her life in the Lorain area. She graduated from Southview High School in 1985. For the last 17 years, Cedar Creek in Elyria was her home.
She loved animals, bowling, collecting key chains as well as her time at workshops at Murray Ridge Center in Elyria.
Surviving is her aunt as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Gregory Mitro.
Parastas will be held on Friday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain. Rev. Andrew Nagrant will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Donations in Gail's honor can be to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain, please reference the building fund.
