Gary F. Kuzak, age 63, of Lorain, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
He was born on October 26, 1949 in Lorain, where he lived his entire life. He attended Clearview High School and then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gary worked for his family business as a roofer and was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and the Amherst Eagles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and anyone who knew Gary, knew that he truly lived his life to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughters; Bridget (Sean) Joy, of Bellville, IL, and Briana (Matt) Harter, of New Castle, IN, his 6 grandchildren; Brea, Lilly, Brian, Jonah, Julian, and Madison, brothers; Herb Zielke, Dale Kuzak, Frank Kuzak, and Joe Kuzak, and his sisters; Marcia Woods, and Patrice Pabon. He is also survived by his goddaughter, Emily Pabon and many nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Dorothy and John Glass, and a sister, Yvonne Fisher.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, 2013, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Diasabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20, will conduct services and military honors at 6:00 pm.
