Pedro V. Garza, 63, of Lorain, died Friday, December 08, 2006 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1943 in Matamoros, Mexico; he lived in Texas and then Port Clinton before settling in Lorain in 1968.
He worked for NPA Coatings Inc., in Cleveland in janitorial services for the past 5 years. Prior to that he was a self employed truck driver in Lorain, and also worked for General Electric, in Oberlin for 26 years.
He was a member of the South Lorain congregation of Jehovah Witness.
He enjoyed cars, taking road trips, his family and visiting relatives.
Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Sonia (nee Pinero); sons; Pedrito Garza of Lorain, Timothy Garza of Lorain; a daughter, Josephine Andrick of Lorain; 6 grandchidren; brothers, Jessie Garza of Fremont, Gabriel Garza of Port Clinton, Raymundo Garza of Port Clinton, Ramon Garza of Toledo; and a sisters, Maria Olivieri of Westerville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo D. Garza and Natalie (nee Vasquez) Garza; sisters, Beatriz Lozano, Juanita Garza, Paulina Longoria, and Antonia Martinez.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
