Genoveva "Veva" Carrion (nee Rodriguez), age 72, of Lorain, died on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Community Health Partners HSC - West, Lorain, after a long illness.
She was born on January 4, 1934 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, moving to Lorain later in her life.
She enjoyed her gardening and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her fiancé of 14 years, Buenaventura "Benny" Natal, of Lorain, her 3 sons; Carmelo Rivera, of Elyria, and Ramon and Edwin Rivera, both of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a brother, Jose Rodriquez, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and two sisters; Elizabeth Rodriquez, of Chicago, IL, and Josefina "Neca" Rodriquez, of Brooklyn, NY.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ramon Rivera, her second husband, Wenceslao "Wendy" Carrion, a brother, John Rodriquez, and a sister, Carmen Rodriquez.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, from 5-9 p.m. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
