George Kilkenny

George E. Kilkenny, age 68, of Lorain, died Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence while under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.

Born November 20, 1955, in Lorain, he was a life-long resident of the city.

He worked in maintenance at Overlake Mobile Home Park for the last 30 years, and also worked at Container Repair, Inc.

He loved working on cars.

Surviving is his daughter, Barbara (Michael) Smith; grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Zachary, and Zoey; great grandchildren, Sophia, Lylah, Iris, and Izarella; his companion of four years, Brenda Parrett; and her children, Rebecca Lestrer, Christina Rosalez, Brandon Hoggatt, Katelenn Stacy, and Juan Rosalez; and a sister, Judy Kilkenny.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary (nee Hoffman) Kilkenny; sister, Peg Lanier; brother, James Kilkenny; and granddaughter, Hope Starr.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
