George Link, age 60, of Elyria, died on Friday, March 25, 2005 at his residence, following a sudden illness.
Born Nov. 6, 1944 in East Cleveland, he moved to Kipton, Ohio as a child. He has lived in Elyria for most of his life.
He worked as a custodian for Midway Mall, Elyria, for 10 years. Prior to this he worked for Goodwill Industries.
George enjoyed the music of Elvis and all of his movies. He also enjoyed his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Rose (nee Adams), sons, Cyrus Link of Cleveland, Ronald Link of Elyria, George Dennis of Kipton, John Link of Elyria, daughters, Sonya Dodson, of Elyria, Crystal link of Elyria, and Suzanne Larges of Oberlin, step sons, Robert Dennis, Joseph Dennis and Randall Dennis all of Lorain, step daughter, Rebecca Godsey of Lorain, 28 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a brother, John of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra, his second wife Velma, parents, Cyrus Link in 1955 and Mary (nee Couburn) Link in 1982, and a sister, Irene Springer in 1997.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Rev. Jim L. Gordon, pastor of Elyria Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
