Gerald M. "Jerry" Rehoreg, age 57, of Lorain, died on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born on August 1, 1948 in Lorain and has been a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1966 graduate of Elyria High School. He had also graduated from Lorain County Community College with an associates degree in Civil Engineering.
Jerry was employed for the past 26 years as a realtor for Realty One, where he had earned the status in the Million Dollar Sales Club.
He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Knights of Columbus, Lorain, and St. Lad's Club.
He enjoyed fishing, in which he loved giving some of his fish to his friends, boating, cleaning the beach, gardening his and his neighbors garden, always loved helping others with cleaning and mowing the yards, he was always helping with community service for his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Garn (nee Plato), mother: Genevieve (nee Kojra) Rehoreg, brother: Donald Rehoreg of Elyria, and sisters: Jeannie Flowers, Sandra Rehoreg, both of Elyria and Sue Sutherland of Easley, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Martin J. Rehoreg, and his grandparents: Stanislaus and Stella Kojra and Martin and Mary Rehoreg.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will also be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
