Geraldine Ann Jurina

Geraldine Ann Jurina, age 78, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Avon Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lorain and has lived here her entire life.
She was a 1945 graduate of Lorain High School.
She was employed as a telephone operator for US Steel, Lorain, for 40 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, where she was also a member of the St. Peter Mission Group.
Geraldine was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Lorain Chapter.
She enjoyed bowling, gardening and was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan.
She is survived by her sister: Betty Taliano, of Lorain, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Alexander and Ann Marie (nee Csulik) Jurina, 3 sisters: Shirley Orlandi, Laura Konya and Carol Goforth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at Catholic Church of St. Peter, Rev. Fr. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Catholic Church of St. Peter Endowment Fund, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain or New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
