Geraldine "Gerry" Sidlow

Geraldine “Gerry” Sidlow, age 83, of Vermilion, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain.

Born February 21, 1941, in the Bronx, New York, she resided in New Jersey for many years before moving from Toms River, NJ, to Vermilion in 2016.

While living in New Jersey, Gerry worked as a manager at Ayerst Laboratories for 32 years, retiring in 1991.

Gerry is the loving mother of Vickie (Jim) Dyke of Vermilion; beloved grandmother of Tim (Jillian) Dyke of Amherst and Nikki (Tim) Clark of Lorain; dearest GIGI to Francesca; cherished sister of Teresa Kapossy and sister-in-law of Patricia and Mildred. She was loved by many nieces and nephews and their families as well as her dearest long-term friend, Arlene Manganello.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth (nee Daly) Sidlow; and brothers, Raoul “Buddy” Faunce and Louis “Sonny” Faunce.

We look forward to celebrating Gerry’s life at a later date when we can come together to honor her memory.
