Geraldine Yuhasz (nee Csubak), age 77, of Amherst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 6, 2009 at New Life Hospice, after a long illness.
She was born on December 6, 1931 in Lorain. Daughter of the late John and Mary Csubak (nee Stembal), beloved Wife of the late Joseph Yuhasz, devoted Mother to Debbie Toth of Amherst, Karen Yuhasz of Lorain, Lynn Yuhasz of Amherst and Joe (Michelle) Yuhasz of Lorain, loving Grandmother of Donald and Brian Toth of Amherst, Jennifer and Joseph Vilagi of Lorain, Great-Grandmother of E.J. Molina of Lorain, Sister of the late Eleanore Litvinuk and Sister of John Csubak of Lorain.
She was a graduate of Lorain High. In her early years she worked at Weiss Garment Factory as an Inspector. Along with being a stay at home Mom, she was also a Bookkeeper for her husband's and son's family business, Yuhasz Builders, Inc. Her enjoyment in life besides her grandchildren, were trips to Las Vegas and to other various casinos along with playing bingo. She was truly an avid Cleveland Indian's fan and always looked forward to watching the games with her grandson, Brian. She was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and currently a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter.
She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren, especially Lynn who devoted many years of caring for her throughout her illness. She would always want us to remember that when the sun is shining, E.J. is still singing "You are My Sunshine" to her.
Contributions in her memory may be made to either, New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035 or the Parkinson Foundation of North West Ohio, 1930 North State Route, Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
