Gladys C. Rollason

Gladys C. Rollason, (nee Dorsey) age 94, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville, following a short illness.
She was born on February 16, 1916 in Akron, Ohio, living in Lorain most of her life, before moving to North Ridgeville.
Gladys was a 1934B graduate of Lorain High School.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Elyria and the Sacred Heart Society at the Church of St. Peter, Lorain. Gladys was also a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9871, North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed being with her family,as well as working crossword puzzles, reading, watching tv, playing cards, crocheting, and working with children.
She is survived by her son, Jerold Francis, of Leesburg, FL, daughters, Joyce Balmert, of Lorain and Jean Ditzler, of North Ridgeville, 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Hector Francis in 1953, 2nd husband, Wayne D. Rollason in 2007, son, William Francis, daughter, Lois Ceol, in 2007, parents, Dorley D., Sr. and Louise (nee Zeh) Dorsey, brothers, Dorley, Jr., and Harry and sisters, Jean Heider and Geraldine Ursik.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 30, from 9:30 am until the time of her funeral Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Peters Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH. The Rev. Fr. Bob Franko, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
