Harold R. Jabbusch, age 89, of Elyria, Ohio, died on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a brief illness.
He was born on November 15, 1915 in Elyria and has lived all of his life in the Lorain-Elyria area.
He was a 1932 graduate of Elyria High School.
He was employed as a foreman for the City of Lorain, in the water & sewage plant for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
Harold was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Lorain. He was a member of the AARP.
He enjoyed reading, auto repair and also hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son: Kenneth Jabbusch, of Elyria, daughter: Karen Kocan, of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years: Ann L. (nee Kolody) Jabbusch and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain where services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Philip Kunz, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
