Harry Galvan

Harry B. Galvan Jr., age 68, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Harry retired from the Ford Assembly Plant in Avon. He cherished every moment spent with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, finding joy in their company. Harry also found pleasure in watching Westerns and savoring a cold beer. His love for his family was as strong as his passion for his Mustang cars, with his 1969 Mustang being his most beloved possession.

Harry is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Chad) Buchanan; his son, Elbert Galvan; six grandchildren; his brother, Bobby (Cathy) Galvan; his sister, Angela Frye; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Galvan Sr.; mother, Anna Katherine (nee Standford) Galvan; his sisters, Barbara Galvan, Bernice Galvan, Katherine Cavallo, and Faith Kuhn; his brother, Johnny Joe Galvan; and his uncle Butch.

The family invites you to join them on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at noon at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of St. Peter Parish in Lorain, will lead the service. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
