Hazel I. Britton

Hazel Irene Britton, age 91, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

Born April 19, 1929 in Fairview, West Virginia, she moved to Cleveland in 1983 to live with her brother.  In 1990 she moved to Lorain.

Surviving is her son, Roger Lee (Paula) Stout Sr. of Lorain;12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 16 great great-grandchildren; a brother, John Britton of Kentucky; and sisters, Orpha Mae Forman of Florida and Elsie Dickerson of Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her long-time partner, Francis “Scott” Stout; son, Francis “Buster” Britton; granddaughter, April Stout; an infant granddaughter; brothers, Francis Britton, Elmer Britton, Edward “Buck” Britton and Rosel Britton.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private visitation and funeral services were held for the family.  A public memorial service will be held when restrictions on public gatherings are lifted.
