Hedwig L. Vincer

September 13, 1922 — December 1, 2005

Hedwig L. "Heddie" Vincer (nee Bodak), age 83, of Lorain, died on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Community Health Partners HSC West, Lorain, after a brief illness.

She was born on August 13, 1922 in Lorain, Ohio where she has resided for her entire life. She was a 1940 graduate of Lorain High School.

Hedwig worked in the shipyards for the American Ship Building Company in the early 40's. She then was employed by the North American Aviation Plant in Pasadina County, Ohio. After being employed at the Aviation Plant, she was a seamstress for Weiss. She was also a self-employed seamstress for over 30 years.

She was a former member of the St. Ladislaus Antique Club, a garden club, and volunteered for the Salvation Army. Hedwig enjoyed sewing at her home.

Hedwig is survived by her one son, Robin, of Vienna, and her two grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Yolanda (nee Szabo) Bodak.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park for graveside services. Fr. James Schmitz, pastor of St. Ladislaus Church will officiate.
