Helen Deliman, (nee Kopychinski), age 87, of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Lorain, died on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Winter Haven Hospital, following a short illness.
She was born on June 15, 1919 in Lorain and graduated from Lorain High School in 1937. She also studied at the Oberlin School of Commerce. She was a lifelong resident of the Lorain and Amherst area until she moved to Florida 20 years ago.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Bendix in Elyria in the 1950's and 1960's. She was a member of Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church while residing here. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen City Chapter 66.
Surviving is her son: John of Winter Haven, FL, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John W. Deliman, in 1995, son: Howard in 1979, her father: Jacob Kopychinski in 1978, mother: Mary (nee Popovich) in 1959 and a brother Michael Kopychinski in 1990.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township with Archpriest Basil Stoyka, pastor of Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, officiating. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is in charge of the arrangements.
