Helen R. Hyer

 Helen R. Hyer (nee Gleba), age 53 of Elyria, died Tuesday, Feb. 06, 2024, at UH Elyria Medical Center following a short illness.

Born Dec. 25, 1970, in Lakewood, she lived in Cleveland before moving to Elyria 18 years ago.

Helen loved riding her Harley, spending time in the pool and hot tub, cookouts and social gatherings, playing games on her tablet, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, James “Jim”; children, Samantha Gleba, Jefferson Gleba, Devin Gleba, and Emma Pridemore; step-daughter, Cassandra Hyer; grandchildren, Bionca, Christian, Todd, Lillian, Brantley, Kaden, Lincoln; seven sisters, a half-brother and two half-sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Beverly (nee Mielcarek) Gleba, and sister, Linda Humphrey.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 12th, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain.   Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
