Helen M. Super, (nee Kocak), age 92, of Lorain, died on Friday, February 10, 2006 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 12, 1913, in Lorain and has lived here her entire life. She graduated from Lorain High School class of 1931 B.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, and the parish Altar and Rosary Society. In her youth, she was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine young ladies Sokol Drill Team. She was also a life member of the Greek Catholic Union Lodge #77 and had served as an officer for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, crafts, reading and flowers.
Surviving is her daughter: Vernette Mae Super, of Lorain, brother: Michael Kocak of Lorain, sister: Margaret Super of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years: John J. Super in 1984, parents: Michael Kocak Sr. in 1976 and Veronica (nee Mudrich) in 1956, and sister: Mary L. Krucinski in 1970.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of panahida at 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Divine Liturgy will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th St. Lorain. Rev. Fr. Nicholas Rachford, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
