Irene Pruchnicki McCaskie, age 82, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at her home after a lengthy illness, while under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
She was born on November 26, 1930, in Lorain and has lived in Sheffield Lake for many years. She worked in Real Estate, Insurance sales, and telemarketing, which is what she finally retired from.
Irene enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and any crafts she could make using her hands. She also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, even fishing, boating, and swimming.
She is survived by her daughters; Anna D. Bailey, of Avon Lake, and Rebecca Pruchnicki, of FL, her son, Gregory L. Pruchnicki, of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her brothers; George and John, both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Leonard Pruchnicki, in 1991, son, Leonard Pruchnicki, in 1991, grandson, Taylor L. Pruchnicki, in 2007, and her second husband, David K. McCaskie, in 2008.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 5 to 8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Wed., at 10:00 am. Fr. Stephen Shields, Pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
