Irma Dobrinski

Irma Dobrinski (nee Czine), age 100, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Northridge Health Center, North Ridgeville,
She was born October 18, 1909 in Hungary. She has been a resident of Lorain almost constantly since 1920.
She and her husband, Walter Dobrinski, were the founders of the original Clearview Hobby Shop on Elyria Avenue in Sheffield Township. When they retired, their son Robert Dobrinski took over the business, which shortly relocated at the Sheffield Center, still under the name of Clearview Hobby Shop.
Mrs. Dobrinski loved to work on handicrafts and raise flowers. She was a lover of books of fiction, biography, poetry, and religion. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lorain, Numismatic Assn., and the Lorain Senior Center.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret McMillen, of Lorain, brother-in-law, James Vigg, daughters-in-law, Sharon Dobrinski and Sue Dobrinski, 8 grandchildren; Dawn (Jeff) Seng, Autumn (Toby) Strebel, H.J. Dobrinski, Sheila (Wiley) Marcum, Denise (Rick) Ridenour, Renee (Fred) Hartle, Brian Hartle, and Ronald Dobrinski, 15 great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews; Marcella Astorino, Kaye (James) McGarvey, Camilla (Phillip) Kauffman, Michael (Ruth) McMillen, Charles (Kathy) McMillen, Bill (Holly) McMillen, Sam (Jeanette) Abell, Geri Abell, Randy (Laura) Corn, Joe (Cheri) Cherney, and Raymond (Lee) Cherney, and her beloved hospice aide, Kim George.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1984, sons, Robert and Richard, sisters, Elizabeth Abell, Priscilla Corn, Ethel Stoll, Rose Cherney and Julia Vigg, grandson, Robert Dobrinski Jr., parents; Frank and Elizabeth Czine.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 4501 Clinton Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Laurie Miller, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church, 4501 Clinton Avenue, Lorain or to Our Lady of the Wayside, 38135 Colorado Avenue, Avon, Ohio 44011.
