James A. Hill, Jr., age 60, of Lorain, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.
Born May 12, 1960 in Elyria, Ohio to James and Betty Hill, James spent his entire life in the Lorain area. He attended Lorain High School and later graduated from Admiral King in 1979. Following high school he went on to earn his CDL and drove trucks for outside Ford’s contractors for many years.
James loved to work on cars, playing cards, cooking and watching sports and TV with his friends. He also loved to listen to music and spend time with his family.
Surviving are his daughters, Richonda Hill and Richelle Singleton; grandchildren, Chaz, Jai, Seth, Davyana, Dynasty, Olivia, Armani, Allenzia, Cassius and Rielle; great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Chance and Kario; siblings, Cecelia Saunders, Kevin Hill, Kris Hill, Vince Hill, Patricia West, James West, Ruby West, Tracy Jackson and Tina Jackson; godmother, Charlsetta Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; siblings, Penny Hill, Kenneth Hill, Una Pamplin and two siblings that passed away in infancy.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 12:30 p.m. at Church on the North Coast, 4125 N Leavitt Road, Lorain. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. A funeral repass will be held following the services at the cemetery at The Knights of St. John, 1620 Kansas Ave., Lorain.
